What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a component of the health care system in China that can be traced back to at least 2,500 years ago. Traditional Chinese medicine explains acupuncture as a technique for balancing the flow of energy or life force — known as Qi or Chi (CHEE) — believed to flow through pathways (meridians) in your body. Disruptions of this flow are believed to be responsible for disease. Acupuncture practitioners keep the whole body energy flowing by inserting extremely thin needles into specific points along these meridians.
Acupuncture is safe and painless when done by an appropriately trained practitioner using clean techniques and single-use needles.
Although acupuncture is most commonly used for pain relief, it is also used for a wide range of conditions. It is rarely used alone, but associated with other forms of treatment. In Western Medicine, Acupuncture points can stimulate nerve, muscles, connective tissues, and increase blood flow.
At Nature's Spa, a gentle and highly effective style of Acupuncture will be used for restoring the smooth flow of Qi and balancing your body, mind, and spirit to improve health and wellness.

Acupuncture with Facial Rejuvenation
Facial rejuvenation is a cosmetic treatment (or series of cosmetic treatments), which can restore a youthful appearance to the human face. Our face is one of the most distinguishing features on our entire body. However as we grow older, fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, and other signs of aging appear. Age, sun exposure, smoking, and other factors can all contribute to this appearance. While there are those who choose to accept aging as a way of life, many people have been seeking cosmetic surgeons or dermatologists to find how they can recapture their youth. Facial rejuvenation can be achieved through either surgical and/or non-surgical options.
Today, Acupuncture is an effective non-surgical and painless way to lessen the appearance of fine lines, as well as deeper wrinkles. According to Chinese medicine, it improves circulation and stimulates the body's natural anti-aging powers. The International Journal of Clinical Acupuncture reported in a recent study of 300 people, 270 perceived a marked decrease of facial wrinkles after just one treatment. Their skin felt firmer to the touch and the skin's elasticity was improved.
